25 Years in the Sun
By Kip Tabb –
Immersed in the day to day affairs of our lives, we give little thought to the passage of events around us. Then, you sit around an office and talk about what it means to have a newspaper that has been recording the life of the Outer Banks for 25 years and there is a realization that what has happened is significant.
There is no simple way, though, to tell that story. It is not the story of any one person, or town or place. It is tale of an entire region and its place in the world and it’s triumph, missteps, controversy and joy. To tell the story, we went back over 25 years of headlines and pulled what we hope are some of the most significant stories we have covered.
